Ritz-Carlton Hotel Palm Beach getting name change

If you want to stay the night at a Ritz Carlton, you will soon have to get in your car and drive away from Palm Beach County.

As of July 1, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Manalapan will be renamed the Eau Palm Beach Resort.

Ritz says RC/PB, the owner of the property, decided to rename the hotel and manage it.

The Palm Beach Post reports RC/PB Inc., which bought the Ritz-Carlton property in 2003, sued Marriott International Inc. and Avendra Inc. two years ago. It was granted permission to take over the property.

The Ritz says it has filed a multi-million dollar counterclaim against the owner.

There are several other Ritz-Carlton Hotels in Florida:

Amelia Island

Coconut Grove, Miami

Fort Lauderdale

Key Biscayne, Miami

Naples

Naples Golf

Orlando, Grande Lakes

Sarasota

South Beach
