'Fake Police Call' app: Palm Beach police officer Mick Keehan develops child behavior app

PALM BEACH, Fla. - A new smart phone app created by a local cop comes with a personalized message for your child with a "good" or "bad" scenario.

Palm Beach police officer Mick Keehan says he was visiting a mall with his two youngest children, desperately trying to get them to listen to him, when he thought of the idea for the app.

"I told them that the mall police were watching them on the security cameras and that they needed to be good. At that moment, I thought to myself, how nice would it be to have a personalized phone call from a police officer to correct or reward your child’s behavior," Keehan said in a statement.

Keehan came home and told his wife and they developed a free app with a character that Keehan created call Sergeant Friendly.

The app contains 14 "bad" and "good" scenarios to choose from depending on the child's behavior. You can also personalize the message with the child's name.
