PALM BEACH, Fla. - Two teens could face charges after crashing a pair of stolen jet skis overnight, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
Sometime after midnight, the sheriff's office marine unit spotted a couple of teens on jet skis in the Intracoastal Waterway near Peanut Island.
Since it is illegal to be operating jet skis after dark, deputies pursued the individuals.
The teens later crashed the watercraft on some rocks near Peanut Island and had to be taken to an area hospital. The teens were in stable condition Friday.
After the jet skis were recovered, they were traced to a house on Palm Beach. The owner of the jet skis said he was unaware that they had been taken.
The teens could face charges for not stopping during the pursuit and the theft.
