WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach County school board voted Tuesday night to renew a .25 mills property tax that funds electives.
The tax money funds classes like art, music, drama and gym.
This levy will generate about $36 million in revenue, according to the school board. In 2010, voters approved continuation of this tax through 2015.
By adopting the resolution, county commissioners will now call an election at which voters may approve the tax.
The general election will be held on Nov. 4.
