PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Palm Beach County public school students will not have to make up a day of school after classes were canceled Friday, January 10, 2014 due to heavy rains and flooding.
According to the school district, "the remaining instructional time provided in the District's school calendar exceeds state requirements in terms of hours of instruction over the school year rather than a prescribed number of school days."
The St. Lucie Co. School Board has not decided on a make-up day for classes lost because of the floods.
