Names of people lost in the Holocaust read aloud on Holocaust Remembrance Day

Various temples in Palm Beach County have begun reading the names of those lost in the Holocaust.

This Annual Memorial Day is recognized nationwide and locally there will be several locations today where you can pay your respects.

This day is one of the most solemn on Israel's calendar.

This morning people in Israel came to a standstill as sirens blared for two minutes.

Pedestrians and drivers stopped and bowed their heads in honor of the 6 million Jews who were killed.

Below are places where names will be read today:

  • 9:00 am Congregation Shaarei Shalom 
  • 9:30 Temple Judea
  • 10:30  PBC Jewish federation
  • 11:30 Mandel JCC
  • 5:00 Temple Beth in Greenacres.
