Sebastian Chavez pronounced brain dead, mother Kerri Chavez in critical condition after SUV accident

The 4-year-old boy involved in a serious crash on Thursday in The Acreage has been pronounced brain dead, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The boy, Sebastian H. Chavez, was pronounced brain dead at St. Mary's Medical Center on Sunday at 5:07pm.

His mother, Kerri Chavez, remains in critical condition and his one-year-old sister remains in serious condition, according to the sheriff's office.

Chavez's 2010 Cadillac Escalade failed to stop at a posted stop sign on Hall Boulevard in The Acreage and entered into the path of a dump truck on Northlake Boulevard.
