After complaints of trash being left at the J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management area, Loxahatchee residents gathered early Saturday morning to clean it up.
Operation Cleanup Corbett started at 8am.
According to the groups facebook page, nearly 60 people were expected to come out and clean up trash they say is left behind by underage party goers.
Pictures on the groups facebook page shows beer cans and trash in camp areas around the grounds.
Members said they are hoping to contact local legislators to get the area protected.
Group members speculate that the state may consider shutting down the park because of the trash, but that has not been confirmed by state officials.
The cleanup runs through 5pm.
Group members said they consider cleaning the park every six months.
