Seminole Ridge Community High School remembers the lives lost at Sandy Hook Elementary
LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. Students at Seminole Ridge High in Loxahatchee have created a mural to honor Sandy Hook Elementary.
The idea originated after teacher Gwen Sueling told her students that Sandy Hook Elementary was the first school she ever worked at.
The students decided they wanted to honor the lives lost.
Kayla Vasko, Brooke Lazarich, and Eddie Walker helped organized the project.
"We worried that it was taking too long but did not want to rush because we wanted to do the best job we could to honor the lives that had been lost," said Seuling, in a written release.
The mural was painted in oils on a canvas then mounted on the fence at the school's entrance.
Seminole Ridge Community High School is located at 4601 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road.
