Dogs bite boy in The Acreage, animal now quarantined

THE ACREAGE, Fla. - Two dogs are in custody at Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control after a young boy was bitten for a second time.

The owner of the animals surrendered his pets to the county.

The two mix breed dogs were outside of their fence Thursday morning when they bit the boy in the 14000 block of 75th Lane North in The Acreage.

The boy had bite marks and lacerations but was not hospitalized.

A previous incident happened in October when the boy was at the neighbor's house and was bitten by one of the dogs.

The owners were fined.

Captain Dave Walesky with Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control said, "The owner was cited for the violations of the dogs running at large today, other than that they were current on shots and tags because we had addressed that two months ago."

The dogs will be quarantined for 10 days then euthanized.
