Anastasia Faulkner injured in motorcycle accident in Loxahatchee

61-year-old Anastasia Faulkner is in critical but stable condition with a head injury after an accident involving a motorcycle and a car in Loxahatchee on Saturday.

Faulkner was the passenger on a 2006 Harley-Davidson motorcycle driven by 66-year-old Daniel J. Casey that was traveling southbound Seminole Pratt Rd.

A 2000 Pontiac 4-door car driven by 18-year-old Cassidy Rae Campbell began to cross Seminole Pratt Rd. at Banyan Blvd. and struck the rear left saddle bag of the motorcycle, dropping it to the ground.

Campbell says she did not see the motorcycle before beginning to cross.

Faulkner was ejected off the back of the motorcycle striking her head on the pavement.

Both vehicles came to rest in the southwest corner of the intersection.

Faulkner was transported to St. Mary's Medical Center via medical helicopter.

Casey was treated and released with minor injuries.

Neither the driver nor passenger of the motorcycle were wearing helmets.
