LANTANA, Fla. - A woman was arrested Thursday morning after a burglary at a convenience store located at North Dixie Highway and Lantana Road, which later prompted a search for a second person.
The robbery occurred between 1 a.m., said Lantana Police Chief Sean Scheller.
When police arrested her, she said there was an accomplice in the area with a .38 caliber revolver. This prompted a SWAT standoff and lockdown of the area around 1:30 a.m.
However, around 5 a.m., the police said they did not find a second person of interest. It's still unclear if there was a second person involved in the burglary.
All roads in the area that were closed overnight are being reopened.
The woman is in police custody and could be involved in other crimes, said police.
