LANTANA, Fla. - The Lantana Bridge will open Saturday night after being closed for 18 months for construction.
The reconstructed bridge includes new fishing piers, wider roads and bigger sidewalks.
City leaders said they were able to keep the project costs under $4 million.
Administrators are planning a bridge-opening party and parade Saturday night starting at 4 p.m.
The parade kicks off at 4:30 p.m. and fireworks will start at 6:30 p.m. The bridge will officially open shortly afterward.
The city is providing free shuttle service to the festivities from a nearby K-Mart parking lot.
