1 person killed in small-plane crash in Lake Worth

A person has been killed in a small plane crash in John Prince Park in Lake Worth, according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

The Cessna 421 crashed around 1:35 p.m. killing the pilot, said Teri Barbera, spokeswoman for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said.

No one in the park was injured.

The plane is believed to have lost power minutes before the crash, according to a PBSO deputy at the scene.

It is believed the Cessna departed from the Palm Beach County Park Airport in Lantana, but the information has not been confirmed, Barbera said.
