Woman, disabled husband attacked at suburban Lake Worth home

SUBURBAN LAKE WORTH, Fla. - The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who broke into a couple's home and attacked them early Friday morning in unincorporated Lake Worth.

Police said he stabbed a 58-year-old woman several times just after 1 a.m. before stealing her purse and laptop at a home on Sylvan Lane.

Authorities also said the attacker assaulted the victim's disabled husband.

“He kept telling me to 'shut up, shut up,' and that he was going to (kill me) ...  I kept saying, 'In the name of Jesus you are not going to kill me.' When I called 911, I could feel that I had lost a lot of blood,” said the female victim.

Both victims were transported to Delray Medical Center where they are expected to survive from their wounds.

The sheriff’s office is looking for a man who is about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet with a slim build and short twisted hair or dreadlocks.

If you recognize him, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-458-TIPS.
