Werbs Prevot, turned himself in after he escaped the Sheriff's cruiser handcuffed on Tuesday

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Werbs Prevot, was arrested after he escaped from the back of a Palm Beach County Sheriff's cruiser..

On Tuesday,  August 6th, Prevot, was handcuffed in the back seat of the deputy's cruiser and he managed to get his hands off and gain access to the outer door handle through a partially opened window,  according to Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Prevot was pulled over for a traffic stop.

When the deputy approached Prevot's car he noticed he had thrown two small bags containing several pills out the window, according to the arrest report.

Prevot was arrested for having prescription drugs without a prescription.

When the deputy arrived to the sheriff's substation at 120 North G St. , Prevot escaped out of the car, according to PBSO.

Prevot turned himself in Wednesday afternoon, according to Eric Davis, spokesman for Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Prevot faces possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, larceny and escape charges.
