SUBURBAN WEST PALM BEACH, Fla - Wayne Cavazos has been arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office on charges that he sexually assaulted his girlfriend's young child.
PBSO deputies say that when they responded to a residence in suburban West Palm Beach, Cavazos's girlfriend, "who was crying hysterically," alleged that he had raped her two-year-child.
Cavazos, according to information given to PBSO by the girlfriend, was alone with the child while she was watching television.
She heard him cry and went to the kitchen. She then went into a second bedroom where her boyfriend was.
Investigators say that the girlfriend told them that she slowly opened the door and saw Cavazos trying to have sex with the child. At that point she yelled at him.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Cavazos told her she was "seeing things" and also told her, "you're crazy."
She then took the baby and asked a neighbor to call 911.
PBSO Deputies found Cavazos at a relative's house in Lake Worth where he was arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
