It was a show of pride Sunday in Lake Worth.

Palm Beach County School District employees teaming up with students to break down barriers by marching together in the PrideFest parade.

School police, teachers and other employees joined forces with area gay-straight alliance groups.  The district hopes by building these relationships it will create a positive environment between current LGBTQ students and school staff.

“We feel it's important to show our support for our staff students and their families for any issue. We are there for all of her students regardless of who they are,” said Pete Stewart with the Palm Beach County School District.

This was the second year the Palm Beach County School District has been involved in PrideFest.
