LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Two people have been arrested in Lake Worth in connection with thefts at the Family Dollar store at 1908 Lake Worth Road.
Deputies from the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office say that they arrested Nicholas Williams and Vincent Wilder after store employees saw the men take multiple personal hygiene items off the shelf and stuff them in their pants.
Investigators say that Williams and Wilder fastened their underpants to their legs using electrical tape.
The undergarments, according to deputies, were used to hold the stolen items.
A PBSO deputy noticed a pickup truck outside of the store with three adults and three children inside. Personal hygiene products were spotted inside and outside of the truck, according to investigators.
The Family Dollar estimated that $339.42 in merchandise was taken from the store.
Both Wilder and Williams were arrested on retail theft charges and booked in the Palm Beach County Jail.
