Man transported to trauma center after two pit bulls attacked him

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A man was seriously injured in an incident with two pit bulls in Lake Worth Thursday morning.

According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, a 911 call came in at 8:24 a.m. about a man being attacked by two dogs in the 6000 block of Lawrence Woods Court. The man was transported to Delray Medical  Center as a trauma alert for injuries related to multiple animal bites.

According to Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, the owner of the dogs surrendered them to authorities. The dogs were later euthanized.

According to Captain Dave Walesky with Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control, this was the second time workers were called to the home. The dogs had previously bitten a pool repair man at the home in February, Walesky said.
