Lake Worth to get upgrades thanks to legislature

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Three downtown Lake Worth organizations will be getting money from the Florida legislature.

The governor's new budget allows for 75 thousand dollars for the Lake Worth Playhouse, 150 thousand for the Cultural Council of Palm Beach County, and 150 thousand for the Lake Worth Community Redevelopment Association to renovate the old Shuffleboard Courts on Lucerne Avenue.
In addition, the CRA will have seed money to start a downtown film series slated to begin next year.
