Lake Worth Mobil station robbed, police release surveillance video of masked men carrying AK-47

Clerk who was robbed worries about repeat attacks

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - Armed with an AK-47 and a rifle, two masked men walked into a least one gas station on Saturday and robbed the store clerk according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators released surveillance footage of a robbery that happened at the Mobil gas station on the 1400 block of North Dixie Highway.

The video shows one man in a white hooded sweatshirt and another man in all black.

"At first, for like 10 seconds, I thought my this is my friend from my country. Maybe someone is like making something funny," said Joe Nasr, who was the clerk working behind the counter at the time of the robbery.

Investigators said the men demanded all of the cash in the register before running out the front door.
"They tell me open, open. I say, believe me I don't know how. One goes this way, the other comes around and takes my register," said Nasr.

In the six months Nasr has worked at the Mobil gas station, Saturday was the second time he said he was robbed.
"I think this is the same men because same sound, same voice, same gun. I think that this is too much," said Nasr.

The robbery at the Lake Worth Mobil was just one of three others that happened on the same Saturday. There was one down the street, one in Boynton Beach and another one in Delray Beach.

Nasr hope investigators catch the men soon. He does not want them got just for his own peace of mind, but for the next person who might not be as lucky as he was on Saturday.

"Any money you can replace. But for you're life, you cannot," said Nasr.

The Mobil gas station has now hired armed guards to patrol the are until the robbers are caught.
