LAKE WORTH, Fla.- A community walk is planned against crimes in Lake Worth.

People in the city will be uniting with PBSO deputies and their mounted unit for a walk starting at the cultural plaza in downtown Lake Worth at 4 p.m.

Recent crime in Lake Worth last month includes a man shot and a woman assault and car jacked on K street and a Subway restaurant robbed at knifepoint on South Dixie Hwy.

Also, about two miles from City Hall, 21-year-old Daniel Diaz was fatally shot in February on 12th Court North. His killer is still on the loose.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office also recently launched a crime-fighting cell phone app, Connect Protect Palm Beach County. It lets you report crimes from your phone.

Remember, curbing crime is a community effort.
