Cody Mincey: Lake Worth man arrested for robbery with firearm

LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A man suspected of aggravated assault and armed robbery is under arrest.

Cody Mincey approached a group of people on South K. Street, stole a gold bracelet from one of them, and then ran off, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

A short time later he reappeared and demanded more property from the victim, the sheriff's office says.

When he was refused, Mincey pistol whipped the victim and managed to get away with $50, according to PBSO.

Deputies say they later tracked Mincey to an apartment where he had barricaded himself.

After 20 minutes, deputies were able to coax Mincey out. They arrested him and took him to jail.

A search warrant was executed at Mincey's residence where two black pellet guns with metal frames and a Remington 12 gage shotgun without a serial number were recovered, the sheriff's office says.
