LAKE WORTH, Fla. - A Lake Worth man has been arrested by the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office on attempted second degree murder charges.
Deputies say that on November 1, 2013, just before midnight, they were called to the 4400 block of Keely Drive.
They found a man who had been shot in his side. He told deputies that he answered a knock on his door and saw a person wearing a red hoodie.
When he opened the door to see what the stranger wanted, the man told deputies that he was rushed by two other people who had been hiding in nearby bushes.
Investigators say that the victim tried to get back inside his home but was told to put his hands in the air and then was shot.
The victim, according to deputies, got a good look at the suspected gunman and later identified him as Abraham Santiago, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Deputies later tracked down Santiago who was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail.
