LAKE WORTH, Fla. -- A 90-year-old man has died from injuries he sustained in a vehicle crash last month.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office says Ralph A. Sullivan died on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from injuries he sustained on June 19, 2016 in Lake Worth.

PBSO says Sullivan was parked in front of 1700 South Road, 500 feet west of Tropical Drive in Lake Worth on June 19, when he stepped on the gas pedal rather than the brake, causing his 2003 Ford Expedition to surge forward into a wall.

The original crash report stated that Sullivan only complained of minor injuries on the day of the collision.

Sullivan was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident and drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the crash, according to PBSO.
