The mystery swimmer who saved a local man from drowning has been revealed.
Second grade teacher Kevin Vorse was the man who hustled out to rescue a panicked swimmer at the Lake Worth pier Monday.
Vorse used his skimboard to paddle the exhausted swimmer in.
Once friends arrived and the man caught his breath Vorse headed home - thinking it was no big deal.
"He was breathing and seemed OK. And I wanted to get home to eat dinner and watch the Heat game (laughs). I thought I'm glad he's all right, I figured he was good and safe I didn't know the ambulance came or anything like that,” Vorse said.
Vorse left before the man could thank him.
He says he's never thought of himself as a hero, he was just in the right place at the right time.
