Adam Leighton Castle: Motorcyclist injured in Greenacres crash on Jog Road

GREENACRES, Fla. - A man riding a motorcycle was critically hurt in a crash in Greenacres on Thursday night.

The motorcyclist, Adam Leighton Castle, 23, of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., was traveling northbound on South Jog Road at an extremely high rate of speed as he approached the intersection of Purdy Lane, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's office.

A Camaro, driven by Dorotea Jimenez Velasquez, 50, of West Palm Beach, Fla., was turning eastbound onto Purdy Lane from South Jog Road.

The motorcycle impacted the passenger's right side of the car, causing the Camaro to rotate uncontrollably and come to a rest at the intersection.

The motorcycle overturned and slid approximately 530 feet in the northbound direction along South Jog Road, coming to a rest in the middle lane and catching fire.

Castle was transported to Delray Medical Center with critical injuries.

Velasquez was not hurt.
