Francis Passavanti: Greenacres man charged with posing as a contractor without a license

GREENACRES, Fla. - Greenacres police have arrested Francis Passavanti and charged him with doing construction work without the proper licensing and permits required.

Investigators said that a Greenacres resident hired Passavanti to build a screened room on his house for $4.500.

City officials said that Passavanti did not obtain permits for the job and he did not have a contractor's license.

The home owner told Greenacres building inspectors that Passavanti sent him text messages that he met with inspectors.

Greenacres police said that Passavanti never submitted documents to the city and all of the paperwork given to the homeowners was fake.

The homeowner told city officials that he came suspicious of the documents given to him by Passavanti after he checked some of the document numbers and found that they were from another state.

Greenacres police arrest Passavanti and charged him with forgery, engaging in contracting without  certification, performing work without a building permit and failing to register a fictitious name.

Passavanti was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and then released on bond.
