Paramedics and firefighters across Palm Beach County are gearing up for this year's 'Fill the Boot' fundraiser to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
A kickoff event was held this morning at Fire Station 23 in West Palm Beach.
Firefighters from different departments will be collecting at various intersections across Palm Beach County for the next few days.
Money raised will be used to help provide MDA families in the county with health care services.
"Thank you for your support. We really appreciate it. Not only do you support MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association) by contributing to us, but your support for the firefighters in general. Thank you," said Palm Beach County Firefighter/Paramedic Michael Jones.
The boot drive runs through Saturday.
