PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. - Friends of Anesson Joseph who worked with him at the CityPlace Starbucks said he was cool, calm, and collected -- never showing any signs of violence.
According to investigators, he attacked at least two people on Wednesday night before a Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputy shot him in suburban Delray Beach.
According to the sheriff, Joseph may have been on some sort of drug that caused him to have superhuman strength.
One victim says Anesson bit into his face.
But Joseph's father Anes says none of it makes sense. "He has never been in trouble . He has never had a problem with the police. He just went to school and was quiet. When I heard something happened I thought 'no I don't think so.' "
The sheriff's office investigation is ongoing and the Palm Beach County State Attorney's Office is also investigating the deputy-involved shooting.
Detectives were still trying to locate the suspect's clothes and possible evidence. The names of the deputies involved have not been released.
