BOCA RATON, Fla. - All Aboard Florida trains will be quieter when they travel through Palm Beach County.
The organization and the county's metropolitan planning organization said they have money to fund quiet zones.
The announcement was made Wednesday morning at Boca Raton City Hall. The quiet zones are intersections where the trains can't blow their horns.
"We have you know more residential density along these eastern tracks now the train horns will be silenced and at no additional cost to the local communities," said Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie.
All Aboard Florida plans to run trains between Orlando to Miami that would only stop in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
