WASHINGTON D.C. -- D.C. police confirmed Wednesday that they are looking into an incident over the weekend that took place on NBC's show "Meet the Press", according to the Washington Post .
The show's host David Gregory was interviewing Wayne LaPierre, the CEO of the National Rifle Association, when Gregory displayed what he described as a high-capacity ammunition magazine, saying it could hold 30 bullets.
The problem is, Washington D.C. has a specific firearms regulation that states "No person in the District shall possess, sell, or transfer any large capacity ammunition feeding device."
"Meet the Press" is filmed inside the District.
The Washington Post reports that Gwendolyn Crump, the D.C. police spokeswoman, confirmed by email: "Yes. We are investigating this matter."
