Wedding bells are about to ring for former NBA star Michael Jordan. 'His Airness' filed for a marriage license in West Palm Beach, a clerk confirmed to NewsChannel 5.
Applicants must apply in person and a license is good for 60 days.
In late December WCNC reported that Jordan got engaged on Christmas. His longtime girlfriend is model Yvette Prieto.
According to the Huffington Post this will be Jordan's second marriage. He married Juanita Vanoy in September 1989, and they divorced in 2006. They have two sons, Jeffrey Michael and Marcus James, and a daughter, Jasmine.
TMZ.com says Jordan and Prieto are reportedly set to get hitched on April 27.
Jordan was recently named in a paternity suit. According to the Associated Press Jordan's lawyer John Mayoue said in a document filed in Fulton County Superior Court that the six-time NBA champion is not the father of Pamela Y. Smith's 16-year-old son.
