A photo of an 18-year-old girl rejected for her high school yearbook is creating a controversy in Durango, Colorado.
Senior Sydney Spies has become the talk of America after she appeared on NBC Today Show Monday.
Spies appeared on the show because an all-student editorial board rejected her photos, calling them "inappropriate."
Spies mom has vowed to put up a fight. She's threatened to get the ACLU involved if the photo isn't put in the yearbook.
According to a poll conducted by the Today Show, which asked "Are Sydney Spies' photos too inappropriate for a yearbook?," the majority of voters did not think Spies' photo should be included in the school's yearbook.
As of Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m.:
Out of the 224,226 people who voted, 76.3 percent -- 171,118 votes -- believe the photos are too inappropriate for a yearbook. 19.5 percent -- 43,653 votes -- said the photos were okay for the yearbook. 4.2 percent -- 9,455 votes -- said maybe.
