WASHINGTON (AP) — Three lawmakers say Army briefers told them 38 people were wounded in the Foot Hood rampage — eight more than previously reported.

The lawmakers were briefed by Maj. Gen. James Huggins, director of Army operations and readiness, and Army Undersecretary Joseph Westphal.

Sen. Mark Udall, a Colorado Democrat, says Army briefers told senators the wounded included 37 soldiers and a Defense Department police officer. Thirteen people were killed in Thursday's attack at the Texas Army post.

House members were given the same information in a separate briefing. That's the word from Reps. Solomon Ortiz and Rep. Mike McCaul, both of Texas.
