Savannah, runaway horse carriage takes tourists on wild ride through downtown Georgia city (VIDEO)

SAVANNAH, Ga. - Downtown Savannah turned a scene from a wild west movie for a few minutes Monday afternoon.

A carriage horse got loose and took off through downtown, plowing through parked cars.

Video shows the horse and carriage hit several different cars after getting "spooked".

Then as it turned the corner, the driver is bucked off and the five passengers are forced to try and jump off for their own safety.

The whole thing just lasted a few minutes.

The driver of the carriage was taken to a local hospital with what appeared to be broken ankles.

The five passengers, including three children, did have to jump from the carriage but they suffered only scrapes and bruises.

The horse escaped unhurt.
