Rodney King, man beaten by LA police in 1992, found dead

LOS ANGELES, Ca. - (CNN) -- The man whose videotaped beating by police led to the 1992 Los Angeles riots has died.
Rodney King was found dead at his LA home Sunday morning.
He was reportedly found by his wife at the bottom of his swimming pool.
Back in 1991, King was beaten by officers after leading police on a high-speed chase.
Video showed King being struck by police batons more than 50 times.
He suffered 11 fractures and other injuries.
The LA riots broke out in 1992 following the acquittal of four white police officers accused of assaulting King.
