Portland traffic stop yields $1.5 million in meth

(KGW) A drug-sniffing dog helped uncover 31 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in a suitcase during a traffic stop on Oregon's Interstate 84 near Portland.

Officers stopped the vehicle at 3:45 p.m. Friday, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson of the Portland Police Department.

After receiving consent to search, K9 dog Nikko sniffed the vehicle and alerted officers to a suitcase in the trunk of the vehicle.
