ROSENBERG, Texas - A police officer in Texas is getting national attention after dash cam video caught him doing something unexpected.
Rosenberg Police Sgt. Ariel Soltura was driving through an apartment complex parking lot when he spotted a 10-year-old boy playing with a football.
In the video, you see Soltura get out of his vehicle and start playing a quick game of catch with the boy.
The Rosenberg Police Department shared the video on their Facebook page with the message, "While a 2 minute game of football might not mean anything, to some it could mean everything! #ReachThemBeforeTheWolvesDo".
"It's important because we all live in this world together. We all make an impact in this world, and I think it's important that we all put in our little bit and make it a better place," said Soltura.
The video has been shared more than 4,000 times and liked by more than 3,000 people.
"If we see a kid kicking the can, they want us to go out there and replace that can with a ball. Therefore, at that moment, we've made an impact on these kids futures for the rest of their lives," said Soltura.
