Natalie Barden Sandy Hook Obama letter: victim Daniel Barden's sister pens letter to President

Daniel Barden was one of the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary shootings.

When President Obama recently visited the families of the victims, Daniel's 10-year-old sister, Natalie Barden, wanted to deliver a hand-written letter with her perspective on gun control to the president, but was too intimidated to give it to him.

A friend of the Barden family, Lillian Bittman, spoke with CNN's Anderson Cooper and at the request of the Barden family, asked him to read it on the air.

Below is the letter she wrote:
"My name is Natalie Barden and I wanted to tell the president that only police officers and the military should get guns. If people want to do it as a sport than they could go to a shooting range and the guns would not be able to leave there."
