BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Most malls are usually crazy the day after Christmas, but not like this. Hundreds of young people caused a chaotic scene at the famous Mall of America in Minnesota, police said.
It all began after 4 p.m. Monday, when Minnesota police said about 20 people started fighting in the food court.
Not surprisingly, people at the mall uploaded cell phone video to YouTube, where dozens of people can be seen pushing, punching, and even throwing chairs.
Some reports indicated more than 200 young people contributed to the chaos, running through the mall.
The excitement reportedly began due to rumors that famous rappers Lil Wayne and Drake were visiting the mall. But authorities nor mall officials have commented on those rumors.
"All of a sudden, stores started closing down, gates were going up. We didn't know what was going on. The cops were pushing us away from like Nordstrom," said one unidentified teenage shopper.

Police said shoppers told them someone fired shots, but officers found no signs that any weapons were fired.
No one was seriously hurt.
Bloomington police and Mall of America security arrested nine people for disorderly conduct, several of them juveniles.
The mall did not lockdown, but some stores did lockup during the chaos.
