PHOENIX - It doesn't look like Arias vs. Arizona anymore; now, it's the Doctor vs. the Prosecutor.

Jodi Arias' psychologist Richard Samuels and prosecutor Juan Martinez went head-to-head with heated questions and answers on Tuesday.

"What are you referring to?" Samuels asked Martinez at one point.

"I ask the questions, sir," replied Martinez.

The two were so combative that Arias' attorney regularly objected to Martinez's line of questioning.

Samuels believes Arias suffers from a form of amnesia and also post-traumatic stress disorder.

Both Samuels and Martinez drew praise from their fan base, but many courtroom observers took note of Samuels' errors and Martinez's aggression

Now, after admitting mistakes in his own reports, some are questioning if Samuels is helping or hurting Arias with his testimony.

"He helps in the sense that he provides an explanation to her testimony," said Vladimir Gagic, a criminal defense attorney. "Whether or not it's credible or believable, I can't say, only the jury can say."

Samuels resumes testimony Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
