It's sad but true. Metallica's lead guitarist recently lost his iPhone — and about 250 new riffs along with it.
Kirk Hammett revealed the fact in an interview, saying he'd come up with hundreds of riffs for the band's upcoming record but many were recorded on the doomed smartphone.
According to Mashable, Hammett said, "Something very unfortunate happened to me about six months ago. I lost my iPhone [containing] 250 musical ideas." See the Wochit video report below for more on Hammett's costly loss.
