Captain America T-shirt-wearing man breaks into Kennedy compound, 'looking for Katy Perry'

(CNN) -- A man wearing a Captain America T-shirt and camouflage shorts broke into the Kennedy compound in Barnstable, Massachusetts, on Tuesday, police said. When officers asked him what he was doing there, he replied: "Looking for Katy Perry."

Officers went to the house in the village of Hyannis Port after receiving a call from a man who said he had phoned the property to check on his teenage son and a stranger answered.

Police found a black car parked outside the home. Inside, they found the 53-year-old man in the kitchen, said Police Officer John O'Hare. The teen was also in the kitchen; he was unharmed.

The man told police he had been there for three hours and was looking for the pop singer Katy Perry.

He was booked on breaking and entering charges.
