Another agent sustained injuries

(CNN) -- A Border Patrol agent was shot and killed near Naco, Arizona, on Tuesday, the agency said.

Another agent sustained injuries that are not considered life-threatening, said Brent Cagen, a Border Patrol spokesman.

The shootings happened in the southeastern part of the state, near the Mexican border.

Local and federal investigators were looking into the shooting, he said.
