Aurora, Colorado shooting memorial: Loved ones, strangers gather to pay respects

AURORA, Colo. - As an endless cycle of people from near and far come to pay their respects at the makeshift memorial for the victims of Aurora, Colorado's shooting rampage, one woman took a little extra time.

Niece Paba says while she is not related by blood, she felt like the aunt to the youngest victim, 6-year-old Veronica Moser-Sullivan.

Paba stopped to write notes on the little girl's cross, among the sea of candles, stuffed animals and sidewalk chalk that had been left by the many visitor.

Veronica's mother, Ashley, is still recovering, paralyzed from the attack.

"I want to tell her mother this, I am out here for you, I am out here for your daughter.  I love you," Paba said.

Paba says she thinks her "niece" is in heaven.

"I'm so sorry for your loss, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm sorry but I love you, okay?  I love you."
