National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in Florida: 'Never give up'

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has a key office and call center in West Palm Beach. It is an extension to the main office headquarters in Virginia.

Reminders hang in every corner of the Florida office, with faces of the missing. They are the faces for which Nancy McBride and her team are always fighting.

"I'll tell you what speaks to me the most, and it's one of the most amazing things we have, is our age progression. Because obviously, if we are looking for Christy Luna, we are looking for Katheryne Lugo, we can't look for them as they were then, we are looking for them as they are now," she said.

The news out of Ohio that three women missing for nearly a decade have been found leaves the team excited, energized and hopeful.

"It gives us an opportunity to get those cases back out there. And to let the public know that this is happening more and more! I mean, you look at Jaycee Dugard, you look at Elizabeth Smart, Shawn Hornbeck. We've got kids who have come back after a long time. So that's why we never give up," she said.

"Nothing is too small because it only takes one set of eyes to find a missing child," McBride said.
