DELRAY BEACH, FL-- The bloom is back on the rose-- make that the orchid-- in Delray Beach!
The gardens will not have to close to members and the public after all.
The board of trustees reversed its February decision to close after a group of supporters secured around 40-thousand dollars in pledges.
Board members say, most importantly, the group rounded up volunteers who will help care for the plants and maintain their greenhouse.
The American Orchid Society Botanical Gardens are adjacent to the Morikami Museum.
They are open to the public seven days a week, from 10:00am to 4:30pm.
