DEERFIELD BEACH, FL -- "We are going to welcome the Jackson's". Fond memories for boxing promoter Don King as he took part in the Jackson's Victory Tour in 1984 and put together a sponsorship deal with Michael Jackson and Pepsi. "God had blessed him he was a fountain of youth, he was 50, but he's really still alive, he may not be physically there. Michael is still alive and his legacy will be immortalized".
King wants to make sure Jackson's memory lives on. At boxing match next weekend, King will pay tribute to the king of pop. "Everything is in the works what we can do, it's going to be a night of Michael Jackson and other things we are planning. His love for people was tremendous, he was a gusher of love that's why he could conceive all of these tunes he came up with".
King says Jackson is gone, but his music and message will live on. "The man is dead, don't dig him up and kill him again. Give him a chance to sink in his message. Come together, we are the world, bringing people together. He was important, and he would entertain, but he would give a message. We can change, it's the man in the mirror".
